2012 ISDE / Red Bull SIX DAYS
Dates and Information

For 2012, The FIM International Six Days of Enduro (ISDE) which is the longest running race on the FIM's Calendar is a very popular International off-road motorcycle race that consistently has riders covering over 800 miles / 1400km of brutal terrain over a six day period and which attracts talent from around the world is going to be returning to Germany for the first time in over 2 decades, and this time, the race head quarters and race start is going to be held in Saxony Germany at the Famed Sachsenring Moto GP facility that already draws 200+ Thousand fans annually for other racing that's routinely held at the track.

The 2012 ISDE will be the 87th consecutive FIM International Six Days of Enduro which first begun in 1913 and is designed to test the rider and his / her machine in an off-road environment while the rider adheres to strict mechanical and support regulations. (repairs are limited to minor maintenance and the riders must work on their own bikes) and although the race was originally laid out across the roads of early days, the competition and machines have progressed since, as well as did the Six Day.

Today the ISDE is still a race which always brings the best off-road pilots from around the world together and pits them against each other in teams, then sends these pilots through some of the gnarliest, tight and technical woods and mountain trail that's strewn with slick rocks and roots that don't quit.

Supplemental 2012 FIM ISDE Regulations

There's certainly no shortage of flailing about and working through sections with both feet out like rudders... The usual for a good Enduro, but in a Six Day, riders are doing upwards of 300Km / 180+ Miles per day while dealing with "Special Tests" throughout the course that often resemble sections of an EnduroCross Course, then these athletes finish their trek of often well over 800 Miles / 1400Km on a MX track as the Final Test on Day 6 where there's no shortage of Old Guys showing everyone their hang time while Air Horns Abound.
