What an EnduroCross Is About

As if riding a dirt bike off-road in natural outdoor elements wasn't brutal enough, Eric Peronnard brought EnduroCross indoors and to the United States, and this is where fan favorites such as Taddy Blazusiak, Geoff Aaron, Ricky Dietrich, Destry Abbott and Mike Brown square off within an arena where everyone can witness just how difficult, competitive and technical off-road motorcycling can get.

An indoor endurocross is an excellent opportunity for friends and family to witness what really goes down in the woods, however, this is taken to an extreme, and condensed into an indoor arena with seating such as what the Orleans Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada offers, which allows anyone to comfortably witness the challenges these riders face, including all the crashes so prevalent in off-road motorcycling settings which include man made obstacles.

An EnduroCross (AKA EX) race is started with a SuperCross or Motocross style start, where the riders launch from a backwards falling start gate, with a short dash to the first turn where things start getting heated, as the riders are usually faced with a log just inside the first turn, then it's on to every off-road element imaginable, including sand, water, tires, rocks, and more logs positioned in ways that make them increasingly difficult, such as after, or in a water crossing where the logs get slick from water being carried across.

Furthermore, as an EX heats up, you'll witness riders double logs into water crossings with perfect timing, (usually gracefully landing in the water, just before or after another log), as well as there will be riders doubling tractor tires, and logs that don't even look rideable, and if a rider comes off their bike during the race, it's a pretty sure bet their bike will be used for traction by a competitor, as an EX is reputably the toughest form of off-road motorcycling, and truly is a no holds barred test of man and machine across incredibly challenging man made terrain.
