Here's More About It:
Beautiful All Original 1968 Honda Trail 90 Here we have for sale a beautiful, one owner, all original 1968 Honda Trail 90. It has just 1400 original miles. I bought this beauty for my collection but realized I’ve got not enough room for everything and need to downsize. I bought this bike from the original owner. The bike has been sitting in a garage in Carson City for over 30 years. The bike was bought brand new from San Jose Honda in 1968. I still have the original California title that was issued in 1968. The black and yellow plate is still on the bike that it was original titled with. This bike is all original and in excellent, unrestored condition. It has been adult owned and cared for. Since I bought it, I completely went through the bike as I do with all mine. I changed the engine oil, adjusted the valves, checked and adjusted the timing. I completely rebuilt the carburetor and tuned and adjusted it so it starts up first kick, hot or cold, everything time. It idles and runs amazing. I put new fuel lines on the bike. The battery has been replaced and just recently charged up. I changed the spark plug and put a new air filter on the bike too. I put brand new tires on the bike. The original tires were cracked. I have gone through all of the electrical on the bike and made sure everything is working properly. I cleaned and greased the leading link front end. I adjusted the clutch as well, to make sure it shifts through all of the gears smoothly. This bike is the first year for the dual range, high and low transmission. This bike is mechanically good to go and ready for the next owner to jump on and enjoy! I fully detailed the bike, waxed and sealed the paint. I polished the chrome and dressed the tires. I enjoy detailing my bikes in my collection and this yellow Trail 90 really popped when I was done with it! The seat is original and has a couple of tiny little splits in the seam. It’s so minor but I wanted to note that. The original exhaust is in excellent condition with no dents or rust. It’s very difficult to find a Trail 90 with a clean, rust free exhaust pipe. The handlebars and controls are all original and in great shape! The handlebars are nice and shiny chrome and are straight. The speedometer works great too. I have the original manual that will go with the bike and the original Honda key. The original headlight housing has a crack that has been repaired by the headlight mounting screw location. Overall this is a beautiful, highly collectible Honda Trail 90 that is all ready to go. The new owner doesn’t need to do anything but just keep the gas tank full and ride the bike around and enjoy it. These bikes are perfect for camping! The bike is not perfect but something that I think most people will be proud to own and show off. I can store the bike for a month so that the new owner can coordinate shipping and the bike can get picked up. I have some contacts for motorcycle shippers if the buyer would like. I accept cash, check, money order, or wire transfer as forms of payment. Please ask any and all questions that you may have before bidding. My phone number is 775-830-6760.
