Here's More About It:
1976 Bultaco Sherpa T 350 Trials motorcycle with Preston Petty fenders. Numbers on motor and frame match and there is a clear title in my name. The bike is not running but ran very well before I disassembled it in 2012 for a cosmetic restoration; unfortunately I got involved in too many other car projects. I rode it on the track several times and in my neighborhood before I got pulled over for not having turn signals or lights. My dream was to cosmetically restore it and fit it out with street lights and turn signals and drive it on the street as well as the track (not a very sensible idea in retrospect). The case covers are pulled off so you can see the inner workings; I don't have a fresh gasket set included in the parts, nor is there a battery,, which I needed for the lights but was not on the original bike. Compression was good last I checked, and it pulled like a train and the clutch and brakes are all good. New tires and the wheels polish up nicely. The frame will need to be sanded and painted, and the seat has a small tear in it. The decals are there and the paint is decent, but it could use a fresh clear coat. The tank has no chips or cracks. The headlight rim was purchased new but is a little corroded, but the rear tail light is new. Included in the sale are a rough set of standard fenders, which are corroded. I bought those off Ebay years ago. The original owner was a Trials champ and I bought it from him in 2011. It shows 7,400 miles on the title, and It has been stored in garages since 2012. An excellent candidate for restoration, whether you want to keep the Preston Petty body kit or put the stock fenders on it. Included is an original manual and the title and some spare parts. Please leave a message here on Ebay; my Ebay Motors Chat line doesn't work and I can't figure it out. I'm outside of Baltimore and the bike can be viewed in person or picked up. Once again: this is a PROJECT bike, and has been partly disassembled. Properly assembled and fueled with the right mixture and tuned correctly, it will run well for years.
