Here's More About It:
You are bidding on a nicely refurbished/restored 1984 CR250R A. I bought this bike as a basket case in 2017 to be my race bike, but have since switched to twin shock 125 racing, and i simply have too many bikes, so this one is up for grabs. Relatively low hour bike when i got it, and by and large only needed a piston and a bore, and reassembly to ride. Water pump corrosion was there, but no leaks or holes. I had the cover vapor blasted and neutralized, then sealed it nicely and it's fully serviceable. I of course did a good bit more as you can see. -Serviced front forks w/ new HP gaiters. Stock springs-Rebuilt shock, with stock spring.-rebuilt water pump assembly, that does not leak!-.75mm over Wiseco top end-New OEM front fender, new Maier rear fender-New front caliper, and new hose-vintage Renthal bars-New OEM clutch lever, w/ new aftermarket cable-new DID gold chain-new front sprocket -vintage rear sprocket, freshly vapor blasted-original swingarm with original decals-new seals and gaskets in engine-new shifter-new chain rollers-vintage CEET seat cover & foam-new radiators-vapor blasted and rebuilt carb-vintage restored ANSWER pipe with new DG silencer-OEM side panels and radiator shrouds-New tires plus more. Bike is nice and tight, starts and runs strong. Goes thru all the gears. It is not set up to start racing or hardcore riding; no Loctite used on anything, and spring sag/fork height etc. is all whatever. It's 'man cave' ready, or for a spin up and down the driveway. As it sits, it would make a gorgeous display bike for your garage or mancave. For racing, you'll want to at minimum set the springs, air, and fork height, check torque, and really if you're serious, send off for correct springs for your weight and skill level. It's a very nice refurbished bike, but not a 100 point show bike. Feel free to ask questions and for more specific pictures, FaceTime walkaround etc. I am interested in transparency and customer satisfaction; if this bike doesn't meet your resto needs, I'd prefer you to defer than buy it and be disappointed!! Bill of sale; no title for eighties MX bikes in Michigan... Winning bidder to pay deposit via PayPal, then balance with Venmo, wire transfer, or Cashier's Check. ***USA ONLY!!!*** Zero feedback bidders, please contact me before placing bid, or I'll cancel your bid. Having to relist this bike because of zero feedback winners and foreign bidders is getting expensive. I'm happy to store the bike until shipping arrangements can be made. I can help with transporters as well, as I buy bikes quite a lot (unfortunately). I will NOT accept or load with Wolverine Cycle!! 1000% bad shipper, and have had more than one lousy and damage laden experience with him. I've used many others and have been nothing but happy with the results, so feel free to reach out beforehand. I will also transport within 300 miles from zip code 49546, or meet you as far as that, for $.50 per mile, so there's that. Well, good luck and happy bidding!
